Steamed Cod

Ingredients:
Cod filet – I find that the cod filet from Fresh Direct is especially great for this dish since they’re thicker pieces than the Whole Food filets.
Scallion – finely chopped
Cilantro – finely chopped
Ginger – thinly sliced, or use a sprinkle of ginger powder
Vegetable oil, soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Steam cod filet in water, around 5-8 minutes, make sure to not let it overcook (it will be cooked further with the heat and oil even after it’s removed). When fish is just done, remove and top with ginger slices and chopped scallion and cilantro.
  2.  In separate saucepan, heat up a generous amount of vegetable oil.
  3. Pour hot oil over the fish filet (careful – it will splash!). Season with soy sauce and it’s ready.
